Our Therapists Enthusiastically Recommend Exercise

The connections between regular physical exercise and improving your mental health are well established – and our Wellness Counseling therapists encourage our clients to exercise.

We take a holistic approach to our client’s well-being, including mind, body, and spirit.

Specifically, routinely exercising helps depression and anxiety because it releases endorphins that improve your mood and sense of well-being. For many people, it’s an excellent accompaniment to therapy sessions with a counselor. You’ll feel more energetic and upbeat naturally.

Exercise Preferences Vary Among People; Select Your Favorite.

Beneficial physical activity comes in many forms, and you can select the one that’s most comfortable and enjoyable for you. When you pick one you enjoy, you’ll look forward to it.

Counseling Sessions + Exercise Improve Mental Health

Counseling combined with exercise can improve mental health for many Hawaii residents.Besides releasing mood-improving endorphins, exercising is a form of self-care. You’ll feel better when you’re physically healthier, which often includes more energy and better focus.

Our Wellness Counseling therapists consider all aspects of your life when working with you to overcome depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. We’ll help you embrace many healthier habits, including improving your diet and watching alcohol consumption.

When you begin a well-rounded mental and physical self-care program, you’ll feel better.

Your mental and physical well-being are interconnected, and a better understanding of these relationships can help you lead a happier and more comfortable life.

What If I Don’t Have Time to Exercise Every Day?

Adding physical activity to your life is an opportunity, not a requirement. It’s helpful to do on days when you have the time and interest. If you’re too busy some days, you can save it for when you have time.

It’s also a reason to select something you enjoy, so you’ll want to set time aside for the activity. While routines can be helpful, our lives aren’t always predictable.
